Hello like title says I have Windows 7 x86 English version and I want to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro x64 Spanish version. I've browsed and found that actually I can do that, by using custom install, is that true? There is no real problem with being different language installs? Thanks

Yes you can install another regional Language as well as either bit version with each license.

Get the the latest official installer from Dell Community and follow closely the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get a perfect reinstall even for retail.

and where I can set which x86 or x64 I want to install?

So basically, I boot from upgrade dvd, then use custom install, then?

I'm sorry I see now you want Win8. Since this is a Win7 forum I was providing a way for you to change bit- and language version within Win7.

To use Win8 you'd buy the correct Win8 version you want, boot it to Custom install.
