DailyTech - Ballmer: Windows 8 Will Land in 2012, Pop up in Tablets

So apparently Windows 8 will be released sometime in 2012, I'm not too crazy about the release looks more like a SP of Windows 7 then a full blown change plus W7 was just released for a couple years and it's running very stable on my machine. Only if the price is right, I mean a lot cheaper than Windows 7 like by 50% or more then I may look into upgrading providing that 6GB ram on Windows 8 runs like 4GB ram on Windows 7 or better and Windows 8 performance is better than Windows 7 overall (games included).

Crazy Microsoft this is either going to be fail or major fail IMO.

They are going to have to do something pretty impressive to get my upgrade. I went from XP to 7...and only dealt with Vista on work machines and my wife's laptop. I've been very happy and satisfied with 7. Don't have any urgency to get to anything else.
