Well, when I put on my computer to sleep mode and then turn it on again or when I run Windows Experience Index I see that my Windows Aero does no longer work. Many features like the images when I hold on an icon do disappear and everything looks like Windows Vista Basic. How can I solve the problem? I got all drivers of ATI installed and when I try to run the program that is supposed to find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects it tells me that the "Desktop Window Manager" is disabled and that I need to turn it on. The problem is here that I dont know how I should turn it on and how can I avoid those problems? Need help
Edit: I runned that program to find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects problems at it tells me that it has already turned it on but Aero is still not working.
It sounds to me like there might be some kind of malware on your system. That is the likely cause of you having problems with the Desktop Window Manager service.
So you can do a full system scan with Malwarebytes and updated definitions to see if it finds anything.
If not, you can check on the Desktop Window Manager service by typing services.msc in the start menu search box and then hit enter. Make sure the account type is set to local, it is set to auto and start it if it isn't running.
Update your video card driver and chipset drivers to latest.
If you still can't fix it, reassure yourself with another scan from a different app. Do a repair install.
