Windows Background Resize Issue

Hello
I noticed that if you have a large resolution image like 1920x1200 and your desktop resolution is 1440x900, the resizing that windows makes is pretty messy. For example google chrome does a way better job in displaying the image at a reduced resolution than windows. I have like 1000 background pictures so it would be a pain to edit each picture manually.

Is there a way to make the pictures look better without having to manually resize each picture in a different program?

I have not had any issues with Windows 7 resizing my backgrounds. Do you have the correct Video Card Driver? Is it up to date?

I also haven't had any problem unless the image is the wrong aspect ratio.

at a closer inspection of the pictures that were actually messy i noticed it was actually the picture quality that was causing my issue. apparently high resolution pictures are not necessarily HD pictures as i were expecting. i think i should have checked that before starting this thread.

Nothing to worry about. As long as you got an answer. Also, when using chrome, it seems that I have to make sure the picture is enlarge before I safe it or the quality suffers. Thought that little tip might help.

yes a good tip though i was aware of that. chrome makes a different picture in its cache memory to display in the browser if not enlarged. i still think that picture is a bit smoother than the pictures windows downsizes.
