Windows Backup and restore

Hi

when i run windows backup, it open up the system32 folder.

i can access the backup thru the control panel, but when i try to create a backup, it opens the syustem32 folder for file selection.

any ideas.

Change the folder using the mini-explorer to choose the exact folder where you want to place or retrieve image. Best to put it in the root (example: C) of the partition or drive.

If this is not the problem then please describe it in more detail.

If you are saying when you try to open Backup and restore, System32 folder opens instead. I'd think it best to run the System File Checker:

If you are using 3rd party themes, you will have to patch your system again after to continue using those themes. A Guy

Hi,
I have the same problem. SFC /scannow did not find any issues. I already tried a full system restore and a clean boot, but that didn't solve the problem.
This is a brand new Acer Aspire M3300.

the sfc utility, did find a corrupted file, but was not able to repair automatically, have to repair manually...no time to repair yet, but at least 1 step closer thx

Hello terraerm, sometime it takes running the SFC several times to repair the files, try another time or two.

HOW TO FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS

In the line at the top of www.SevenForums.com you will see UserCP.
That is an abbreviation for User Control Panel.
Click on UserCP.
In the left-hand column, under Your Profile you will see Edit System Spec.
Click on Edit System Spec
You can copy and paste from the output of Speccy, Speccy - System Information - Free Download to fill out much of the info. Be sure to use the Other Info section of your System Specs for such info as your optical drive, your wireless adapter, your speakers, etc.
