Windows Black SOD?

Just bought a Kingston 2 gig 667 RAM to add to my old 1 gig one. After installing the new RAM, windows wont start, just stops after "starting windows" resets after a few minutes of BSOD.

I tried Both RAMS are working, they just cant work together. :cry:
Im using the new RAM now and it works fine.

any help?

computer specs:
Processor: Core 2 Duo at 2.20 ghz
VID card: GT220 1 gig
MOBO: Emax PRO p35 Products

Both the memory you had and the new one are DDR2. Your motherboard might have both DDR and DDR2 slots make sure it's in the correct slot. Also, some motherboards are 'picky' about the type of memory you can put in them. The memory you already had is DDR2-800, the new is DDR2-667, it might not like that, strange as that may sound.

nope they're both DDR2-667. the MOBO manual specified it can support up to 8 gig. i provided the link of the MOBO manufacturer. the voltage is also set at 1.8, so i really dont know whats wrong. I updated my windows a while ago just to be sure that nothings wrong, but still no avail. I can only run 3 gig RAM on safe mode :cry:

The bios mem test runs ok too, singe and dual channel.

Are you really sure they are both DDR2-667? Because the link you provided says DDR2 800 /1066...

yep im sure, the manual I have says its 667/800 supported. dunno why the online manual says 800/1066 and Ive been using the 667 one for more than a year now. I just bought the new 2 GIG RAM for DA 2
