When I tried installing Windows 7 on another hard drive, the boot manager option didn't come up. I just had to select which hard drive I wanted to boot from using f8 when the bios loads up. Is there any way to fix that?
First of all is the 7 install on an ide drive while the other OS? XP? Vista? is on the first likely sata drive? To put it mildly ide overruled sata!
When installing 7 the boot files and mbr information was placed on the second drive not the first where ? is running now since you left that out. However you can easily see XP or Vista even another 7 install added into the second drive's 7 boot options with a free tool known as EasyBCD or the BCD editing already included in Vista and now 7 as well.
