Windows cannot access \\User-pc\e

I connected my two computers both with windows 7 OS.I think that everything has been set up correctly but i can't access anything i share.Firewall is turned off on both pc's, is there anything else that can block file sharing?

Have you read any guides on file sharing on Windows 7? Do you have a router that both computers connect to? Are you running any security software? Why did you disable the Windows firewall (you shouldn't do that)?

I read a lot since i had problems connecting my windows 7 PC and Xp laptop, but now i installed windows 7 on my other computer and i have no idea what the problem is.So file sharing works with windows 7 and laptop Xp but not with two PC's with windows 7.I only use simple LAN cable to connect them with no router or access point.Turning off firewall always solved this kind of problem on Xp so i though that this is creating probem here as well.I also removed my NOD 32 cuz maybe he was blocking the file sharing.I though that connecting two windows 7 PC's would be piece of cake, but i though wrong.So what should i do with firewall? You are using a crossover cable, so you should read this:

Add the "everyone" group with full or modify permissions to "e"
OR... if e = a drive, use: \\user-pc\e$

Everything is connected, and i can see my other computer but i can't access it.

The only difference betwen two computers is homegroup, on my primary PC it says ready to join but it won't join no matter what.On my second PC it says it is joined.
