Windows cannot be installed to Disk 0 Partition 1

That`s odd, did you speak to Toshiba about it ?

Well I live in Saudi Arabia and the laptop is from Amazon US (a gift from my two sons). I did not speak to Toshiba in Saudi Arabia about this issue.

I did some search on internet about this issue. I found out that it is the Toshiba policy to use same body shell for different models of laptops. In some select premium models like Qosmio which uses the same case as my laptop model (Satellite), the laptop is sold with two internal hard disks.

My laptop was bought for US$ 800 and Toshiba has omitted this small SATA connector. Now there is no way to add another HDD.

Interesting. I don't know if ASUS has anything similar.
But with my latest misery, BIOS update & system crash, I don't feel feel like experimenting with internal disks & connectors right now, I'll soon most likely go with USB 3.0 large 2TB, it should be a great storage space plus backup, and for my work in progress I'll use the laptop's internal disk.

Try this tutorial.

Clean Install Windows 7

Always do the installation with booting from Windows 7 installation disk and not from inside the old OS. Read the sections 6 and 7 from tutorial carefully before installation.

In the Advanced drive options make sure you remove all the old partitions from the hard disk. This will remove all traces of the old OS.

Now you can make a single partition of 80-100GB for installing windows 7 leaving the remaining unallocated space. You can make use of this unallocated space later for creating data partitions from within the newly installed windows (Disk Management).

Continue with the windows 7 installation. Good Luck!

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? How do you plan to activate it?

when i tried to install windows 7 (ultimate, pro, home) pc gives error while "expanding windows files".

I can't recall seeing any Windows installation discs that had all 3 versions. I'd like to hear more about that.

i dont have a disc that include 3 version of windows, are you crazy :) each of them is different discs. mostly i tried with usb stick (i tried and succesfully installed windows 7 before several times ). i used win2flash for bootable usb. but problem is not windows version or discs.

i ve already tried section 6 -7 rroad. it is interesting.

i deleted all space and i tried to install(1 partition)
i deleted all space and formatted Hdd and i tried to install(1 partition)
i deleted all space and i made 2 partition 30+40gb space and i tried to install...
i dont exactly remember the way which i did experimental but each technic's warning is same YELLOW WARNING bottom of the disk management dialogue!

i ve about 13 years experience of windows and i really hate this system. i think windows's stableness isnt enough even today!
