Solved windows cannot resolve your wireless connectivity issues

Hi, I read all the helpful posts about what to know and do before I post. They were helpful, sort of..more overwhelming for me. I will do my best tho.
I have a Dell Laptop running windows 7 pro on it. Norton Security Suite, I work away from home. My apartment for work I use Comcast internet service. At home, we have Dish Network/Century Link.
Right now I am using my desktop at Home. My desktop connects to the internet just fine as does my phone and Kindle Fire but My laptop will not connect to the internet.
I get an error message stating..Problem with wireless adapter or access point. Heres what I have done so far.
I did a restore back 3 days..because yesterday at work, my laptop had no problems
then I went to Control Panel, All Control Panel Items, Troubleshooting, Network and Internet , Network Adapter..that took me to a troubleshooting ethernet, wireless adapters
the message I got there was : Problem with wireless adapter or access point detected..the computer reset my wireless adapter and I have this file name under the Network Diagnostics Log.

I do not know what to do from this point on..can you please help?? This is very frustrating! Please keep in mind that I am computer illiterate..

I apologize for all the inconvenience this issue has caused and promise you that I will do my best to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.

Firstly we would need the model number of the system and wireless card installed on the system. Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

We have solved this issue. We had two wireless modems in our house , (I am not sure why, it was my husbands doing)..
Two nights before we had some lightning hit so close to the house that sparks flew out our swamp cooler switch. We discovered also that one of the modems had been affected. Here's where things get weird. As I said earlier, I was able to connect to the internet via my desktop but not the laptop, then later that day I could not even connect to internet with desktop. We checked the modems and found one of them not working..we changed out the power cord and the modem begin working. Then we checked our passwords..again I dont know why..my husband suggested it, but when we did we found both my desktop and laptop had old passwords..that is the weird part..we have no clue how they got switched back to the old ones..and why the desktop would work earlier in the day and then quit working ..anyway with the switch out of the power cords and a reset of both modems, and the correct password we were linked to the internet and running smooth. Problem solved. I did go ahead and update my system info as you requested, for later use if needed. Thanks for the prompt reply.
