Hi, i am unable to get my wireless working at all and i've searched for solutions and the most common solution to wireless problems was switching the wLAN autoconfig service on. Which i did but to no avail.

When i go to manage wireless networks it says Wireless is currently not enabled even though i switched the service on. and then it says cannot detect any wireless network interfaces. I've tried everything and would really appreciate some help.

windows 7 64bit / ga-p55-ud3 mobo.

thanks

Go into "change adapter setting" instead and see wireless is enabled.

No. So you've checked the wireless adapter and it's enabled. You also checked WLAN autoconfig service. Have you ever connected to your wireless network before?

The other things to check is, manual wifi swtich, is it turned to the ON position? Is W7 able to detect any wifi at all?

yes

Yes the wlan autoconfig service is on. I've never connected any wireless networks before

my router doesnt have a wifi switch, it just says to tick the enable access point on the router web page. and windows 7 isn't detecting any wifi at all. I don't even have that yellow icon that is supposed to show up on the bottom right toolbar.

If your router is broadcasting a network, whether WEP, WPA/WPA2, W7 will detect it if the adapter and WLAN service is turned on. Unless you haven't configured the wireless network correctly. check with another wifi device/lapop to see if it can pick it up.

If you never have connected to the router. Have a read of this. Wireless and LAN adapters have difference MAC addressed.
