Windows cant see the Internet, but I can use it..

I was wondering if some of you enthusiasts were having a little issue with windows getting its head stuck in the sand. I can use applications that utilize the internet like WoW, and IE8, except for AIM and MSNM. Its like windows doesnt see the internet connection..=/ I checked my router to make sure it wasnt going bad on me and its fine.Also for example, I also get a security certificate that says MSN.com isnt a reliable site... im stumped. =< pls halp. Cant update anything because of this.


system spec:
core 2 duo 2.66ghz, Geforce 7950gtx, 2 gigs o' memory, SATA raid 0 hds, Asus p5n-d mobo. the networking is an Nforce controller on the mobo.

gah... i fixed it. windows cant auto update your nforce drivers for some odd reason. hope this helps people. cheers.
