windows clean install Q.

hi guys
i have a question about clean installing.
if i currently have to partitions C and D, and i do a clean install on C. what will happen to the files in D?

Nothing, as long as you don't format it

Nothing, will happen, you will could access the files easyli and boot from it aswell (If you have an OS installed on it.)

what about the programs installed on D? will they still be useable after clean install on C?

If they are installed from the OS on harddrive C: then no, but if drive D: is a seperate OS, yes

no they are just instaled on D with the OS instaleed on C. there's no OS on D.

I believe if the programs reside on the D drive you can run them from there, I think.
I just use my separate drive for files, not apps

Edit: i just installed a small app on my extra partition and i was able to run it from my C drive

Okay, then you can't access them (NOT 100% Sure might be some way to do.). You'll have to install them again

Yeah you can install on other partions, but when you change OS, the app won't work anymore.
