Windows Clicking Problem

I already did that, nothing indicated my problem existed, it was gibberish for the most part.

Did it say No errors found, or something else?

It will not state anything specific, it merely checks and tries to correct OS errors.

Also, it sounds like you have some. Run a repair install to try to clear that off.

If you haven't paid for Norton, then uninstall it and download Microsoft Security Essentials.

You will have to download both of these using another computer and put them on either a flash drive or a CD.

Norton may be your problem.

Why would norton be the problem? I have friends who have windows 7 + norton and they don't have any problems like mine.

Norton can be a little resource heavy. It can also do some very weird things for security reasons. I finally gave it the boot after it kept flagging newly compiled programs as "unsafe", and there was no way to turn that off.

Previously, it had randomly shut off parts of my Logitech G15 keyboard, then re-enabled them after a reboot, and it kept forgetting the firewall settings and barking at me, among other things. There was virtually zero tech support, so...

Just a thought. Does your friends use the same everything on there computers as you do? Most likely not. In most cases Norton does not like another AV on the same computer. As has been posted before by Jacee. Remove both your anti virus and install MSE just to verify if the problem goes away. If it does or doesn't will tell us a lot. If you care to you can always install them again later.

Ok, this is crazy! It's fine now. I think the problem was in the theme I was using, some sort of bug methinks. The problem disappeared when I switched to a new theme, guess which theme I'm never using again. Before it was on a customized nature theme which, evidently, has some issues. I don't remember what theme i'm using now but its fixed. I'm terribly sorry for all the trouble i've given you, I really appreciate the help though, you all tought me a few new things that will help in the future. Thanks again!
