Windows Computer Crashing

Hello all.

Having issues that I hope someone has a solution for.

Computer keeps randomly crashing. Takes several restarts to get the computer back up and functional. It's like running a secret puzzle to put all the right pieces together before it will boot. Very odd.
It will try to restore. No go.
It will try to go into windows. No go
Nothing will work until it finally decides to boot up and start operating.

Malware was negative
Scandisk showed everything as it should be
No '!' in hardware.
Cables, wires, and connections right and tight

Can't sign in to windows and do a Windows 7 update from my disk
Error: Version on computer is newer than one on disk.
Can't roll back, all roll backs have same issue.
Can't wipe drive because no backup.

Crashing happens mostly when inactive such as when I leave it running overnight, with monitor turned off and disconnected from Internet. It has happened one time during daytime use, but booted back up without issue.

Once the computer comes online it does one of several things.
It immediately crashes.
It goes to windows then crashes
It boots in to recovery and runs like it is doing a recovery but then it says This computer cannot be recovered.
I do all this back and forth for 15 to 20 minutes until the computer finally decides to stay booted and operating without any change in anything on my end. So I then get online and start using the internet as normal. Then tomorrow morning I have to go through all that again.

Can anyone help me figure this out. I have a lot of information I don't want to lose. Family history, photos and such without any way to back up. Thanks in advance.

Your disc is probably Win 7 without SP1 so it gives that error about being newer.
I can email you a link to my Cloud-stored Win 7 w/SP1 ( I only have Home Premium x86 and Ultimate x86 & x64, use your own key) but only by email. I'm not publishing it here in the forums as it's private storage.
If you want it post your email disguised as in abc AT xyz DOT com
Then you can burn a DVD and use that to repair the installation.

Using non-RAID on purpose as I find RAID to be too temperamental.

How about telling us, as requested, what computer you have. Make, model, age, Desktop or Laptop,
without good information it's pretty hard to recommend any troubleshooting techniques.
The possibilities are just too numerous.

BSOD - Program Results

This is sort of confusing. I'm not sure where to post what.. so I'm just going to leave this here.

I ran the BSOD and this is the resulting .zip file.

Turn off all power saving features, do a shutdown tonight and a cold boot in the morning and see if behavior changes...:geek:

Hi Ntslave,

Your computer has not updated since you installed Service pack 1, july 2016.

I have 2 comments in this regard
The service pack did not install correctly
The product ID in use, an MSDN NOT for resale key, has been blocked

please run this tool, copy/paste the ouput
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=52012

I doubt if you wil remember but when you first installed the OS, did YOU place the System reserved partition on drive J - most unusual, normally its at the beginning of the disk and possibly the cause of your system repair failures

Is your RAM
1 X 3
1 X 1
if so the 1 X 1 is not being recognised or is faulty

remove
Rkill
Driver booster3 (out of date, and its use NOT recommended)
PC Easy (NOT recommended)

As this machine was shipped with Vista, and there are NO W7 drivers listed on its homepage i would suggest you update drivers DIRECTLY from the components manufacturers
Apart from the Bios update, current is dated 2010 yours is 2007
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNTIL
you have created an image

Roy
