I have Windows 7 and yesterday I lost all network access.

I have 2 boxes and a network printer hardwired to my router and 2 laptops and a box via wireless, all are working fine except for one.

I hooked up a laptop via hardwire to the plug this box uses and had no problems. Put in a network card thinking it might be the OB lan but it did not work.

When I tried to repair the connection it gave me the "Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings".

I read the forum post and tried some of the fixes.

netsh winsock reset = no change
netsh int4 reset = The following command was not found: int4 reset.

Tried the flush that was posted= no change

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

I ran the ipconfig and this is all that came up

I ran a scan with my Zone Alarm Extreme Security V 9.3.037.000 with nothing found.

I tried to do a restore back to a point a couple of weeks ago when the thing was working and it would not finish the restore.

I'm at a loss!

The correct command to see the entire networking interface is ipconfig/all

If you can post the output from that command it may be helpful. :)

For the proxy error message, Check Internet Options (from Control Panel or Internet Explorer Tools / Options /Connections Tab / LAN Settings and make sure Proxy Server is unchecked.
