windows crash suddenly

hii there...
i have a serious problem with windows 7.it suddenly crashes and a striped screen appears and i have to restart my laptop.it happens when im using it when charging...what am i supposed to do....???my processor is amd turion 2ghz,graphic card is 256 mb 3200....

Please type event viewer in the search box .. open the application section and see if there are any critical errors listed... please post them if there are..

Right off the bat I would say that there is a video problem here somewhere.. Does this only happen while charging?

cna you go into c:\wondows\minidump and see if there is a dump file (*.dmp) there. if there is can you zip it and upload it to us using the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip) in the reply form

im sorry i dont find any minidump file in c:/windows,the problem occurs only when im charging it...

the drivers are any way uptadated.....
heat is not the problem...
i dint face any of these problems when i was using vista....
but i dont wanna go back to vista cos 7 is really good.....

moreover i run it in safe mode with charging... then there is no problem....

Well, I think at this point there are only two things left to do... do a clean install and see if the problem persists... consider replacing the battery ...

I assume you are running 32bit, right?

If you're quite confident that the problem has never occurred in safe mode, even though you're doing the exact same things that (frequently?) result in a problem in normal mode, then it may berelated to software after all.

As a suggestion, run MSCONFIG and choose the "diagnostic startup" option, reboot, then test whether you can repro the problem. If not, try using "selective startup" to enable/disable stuff until you zero-in on the culprit.

ok fine now i get it..i disable the microsoft acpi compliant control method battery the problem is gone!!.but then i dont get to see the battery icon...
so what should i do about this.....it'll b helpful if i get the proper link for its driver download....

and can i know which anti virus runs well on win7....
