windows defender loaded and wireless computers will not work

Hi, I stupidly loaded windows defender. I have gone in and unchecked the toggle box so it is off. However, I have laptops that other people work on and they will now not read the work program on my main computer. I have had IT people try and fix it and they are baffled. The modem and wireless are working fine but the laptops cannot find the work program.
Help!

Is this in a work environment? If so your IT staff are responsible for their own network. And that being said we can't interfere with their infrastructure. Also we have no idea what this "Work Program" Is, How it's configure, network configuration, rights and privileges and so on. Sorry. This is the reality of the IT world.

If I am mistaken in my scenario.. Please excuse me.
