Windows does not boot from the drive it is installed on.

I'm hoping someone can help me with a boot issue on my Windows 7 Professional desktop computer.

I want to encrypt the Windows partition with True-crypt but I have several hard disks and somewhere along the line the boot-file (is it BCD?) has been put on a different hard disk. I can find out what disk by looking in the BIOS to see what drive boots first but other than that I don't know what to do or how to (if required) edit the file.

Any help much appreciated.

Sure.

The 'Z' partition is an encrypted True-Crypt volume already. I also have 'my documents, my music, my videos, favorites, desktop, links' forwarded to the other disks. Does that matter?

The actual Windows installation is on the C disk. All of my (non-hidden) personal folders located in 'C:\Users\Username\**' are directed to other disks. I.e. My Documents folder is not 'C:\Users\Username\My Documents' anymore but 'D:\My Documents'. My 'C:\Users\Username\My Music' is now 'M:\Music' etc.

The hidden 'C:\Users\Username\AppData' folder remains where it is by default as it is a system folder. The idea being that all of my personal folders are on different disks from the OS.

The 'M' disk does not contain any OS files other than the Music folder. The 'M' disk does also contain these files which I believe should be on the 'C' disk, however I'm pretty sure that 'cutting and pasting' them will fail.
