Windows doesn't boot regularly?

I reinstalled my purchased copy of Windows 7 yesterday after the RC trial expired. I installed it perfectly fine, except that it sometimes doesn't boot. The computer starts, then doesn't manage to get to the boot logo. I have to turn it off via the power button and try it again. Most of the time it works the second time, but is it possible to fix this? It is just a black screen.

Thanks.
