Windows Explorer Crashes:
- when I try to copy and paste file or folder from Win-7 computer to a flash drive or flash drive to computer, or
- when I try to drag & drop from Win-7 computer to a flash drive or flash drive to computer.

When this event happens I get a window that informs me that:
Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working
and offers me the option of checking for a solution and restarting explorer or just restarting explorer. I usually try the first option, but no information is returned before explorer is restarted.

Below is the info I could capture from one incident:

Uninstall "MyWinLocker".

1. Open Start Menu and click Control Panel.
2. Go to Programs > Programs and Components.
3. Find MyWinLocker, right click on it and "Uninstall".
4. After the program is uninstalled, restart your pc.

If for some reason you don't find "MyWinLocker" in programs or the problem persist after you uninstalled the program, follow the steps below.

1. Install "IObit Uninstaller". IObit Uninstaller - Best Free Software Uninstall Tool for Your Windows XP/7/8/10 PC
2. Install MyWinLocker. MyWinLocker 4.0.14.19 - Download
3. Launch IObit Uninstaller and find MyWinLocker, then right click on it > Uninstall.
4. After the uninstaller of MyWinLocker is finished, IObit Uninstaller will ask you if you want to perform "Powerful Scan", you should do it.
5. When the powerful scan finish, delete everything it found.

PS: You can uninstall IObit Uninstaller if you wish.

I see nothing in post #1 that has anything to do with (MyWinLocker).

I highly recommend not using anything from IObit.
Their programs have cause many, many problems to many members.

The "psdprotect.dll" belongs to MyWinLocker.

You didn't even tried the uninstaller I mention, just because their software got negative rating AND it's a "PuP" target from Malwarebytes, it doesn't mean it hurts. Though I don't recommend using registry cleaners (as Advanced SystemCare is), this is by far the best lightweight and working antivirus. Nobody said "use ASC to clean registry". Also, their uninstaller is the only one which search registry entries, context menu, desktop folder, etc. to remove remaining files of software. Don't blame things just because some percent of the community do it.

Thank you for the ' psdprotect.dll'. I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

I have been reading post on this site for 10 years and have noticed the problems member have had with any IObit programs.
So I will stick with my opinion about IObit products.

Thank you Layback Bear and MSClin,
I thought I would remove MyWinlocker first (because I'm lazy), to see if that would resolve my problem, but when I select MyWinlocker from the programs & features list it only allows me to CHANGE not remove. Is there another way to remove it which will remove psdprotect.dll?

You could check online and see if MyWinlocker has it's own removal tool.
I also use at times Revo Uninstaller at times.

If you type in the Start Orb Search 'MyWinlocker' it might list a removal tool.

As I said, IObit Uninstaller would do the job, even better than Revo Uninstaller.

Thanks to Layback Bear and MSClin, I can now cut/paste and copy/paste between my computer and USB drives. When I was unable to uninstall MyWinlocker I ran Autoruns and unchecked all MyWinlocker entries and restarted my computer. Following the restart I was able to cut/paste and copy/paste to and from my USB flash drives. Then I ran Revo Uninstaller 2.0.4 Portable from a flash drive to remove MyWinlocker. Revo encountered an error 1722 and stopped the uninstall, but I ran the post uninstall Scan and selected all the items found in both the register and programx86 folders and deleted them. Now my computer is indeed free of MyWinlocker!
The version of Revo that I ran 2.0.4 Portable seems to be a first class uninstaller. It even created a system restore point before it tried to uninstall the problem program.
Thanks again for the assistance! I consider this problem SOLVED.

I would be remiss if I didn't thank Freebooter for recommending Revo Uninstaller. As I said, it worked very well even though it encountered a hard error. Thanks again to all for your help!
