Hi,
For the past 2 days, whenever I have used Mozilla firefox 12.0, after sometime, the browser hangs up and it tells that the browser has stoped responding. The same time, windows explorer also hangs and freezes soon.I will have to restart and then same thing happens again.I tried Chorome also, but the result was same.:( the browser freezes, and soon after explorer also freezes.
I have also noticed that the disk space in the C drive is also getting reduced. In one day 5gb of space has been added up:p.I have installed and tested with windirstat.

Update:
Now even the yahoo messenger freezes(not responding) everytime..and other applications too :cry::cry:
I have scanned with MAlwarebytes and Security essential and could not find any infection.
For the past 3 days, I can't watch flash videos in Mozilla.Today, several time the same thing happend to chrome also and it saysthe player crashed.

Please give me a solution. :)

See if flushing the DNS cache helps:
Open an elevated command prompt....then, copy/paste ipconfig /flushdns press 'enter'

Try a system restore to a point behind when the problem started!

You mean there are no restore point in 2012? Have you got "Create Restore Points" turned off? If yes I see no alternative that a clean instal of windows so you will loose all your programs! I would at least try to backup your data before it is too late. The way I read it is things are getting worse and worse. Back up now is my advice and do it quickly!

You need to back up any data files that you want to keep. Copy them to an external hard drive, CD's,DVD's or memory sticks. Any storage media will do . The restore points just restore the software on your PC they do not interfere or store data! Windows OS and all your programs can be re installed from the discs.

But the problem is with all his browsers, Yahoo Messenger and as he says "Now even the yahoo messenger freezes(not responding) everytime..and other applications too"
Also space on his C drive is being eaten!
I think he has major problems so it is, IMHO, essential insurance to back up data!

In a couple of your previous threads you were asked what anti virus software you were running but you gave no details. So I ask again "What anti virus software are you running and is it up to date?

How did you manage that if you haven't got a restore point later than 2011. Did you try to go back to 2011?

Then make sure after your new install that you keep Restore Points on. It is as you have discovered to your cost a very useful Windows Tool!
