Windows Explorer has stopped working :(

Hello everyone, I'm quite new here.
As you can see, ever since 10 days ago. I started experiencing this pop up that says
"Windows explorer has stopped working"
and then restarting itself, and everything went fine afterwards.

It only happens whenever I tried to move something within the area of my library be that music files or videos. Not too long ago, I was trying to send a song to my friend via MSN by dragging it from the folder to our chat window, prior to dragging it...this error popped up. Resulting in the library window or folder to be closed down.

I wonder what's there to be done to get rid of this ?
I don't really experience it all the time, only at seldom times. However, it can be very annoying.

Regards. thank you :)

I ran into this when I first had my new machine. Got progressively worse. Rebuilt the machine and the issue has never resurfaced. I think the OEM installation had a bad driver in it.

It's could be some codec or plugin you installed that tries to read the properties of media files and than crashes and pulls explorer with it? Error reports could tell us a lot, could you find them in control panel (type view all problem reports into the search box).

Hello, I've tried that but this is all I see..

Sometimes it happens a lot like yesterday it happened twice, within 20 minutes. Sometimes it doesn't appear at all no matter what kind of files you drag between folders.
Pretty mysterious.. but I find it annoying with this kind of flaw appearing when you least expect them too.. :\

Please type the exact line I wrote in my previous post into the search box and take a screenshot of the window that opens after you click the item with that exact name.

Totally man ! Haha, I have no idea really.
My laptop is a Dell studio XPS 16 if that helps.
Right at this very moment, (after leaving it on for 4 hours while I went out)
the Adobe flast player ( I suspect ) crashed again ?
The results are... :-
- Unable to play videos
- No sound emitted
- Unable to play songs
- Unable to launch tweetdeck or any animated program ? (except for MSN but no notification sounds)

-shrugs- I don't know what's going on really but a few times the flash player kinda crashh haha.

Which explorer report by the way ? Any one of it ?
here's one :)

Have you run any virus/trojan scans to see if you are infected?

It's the explorerr that crashes haha sorry.

Yes I did. Idk if Avira is handy (that's what I automatically have). However I do have Bit defender with me. Other than that, I have a few anti spywares like malware bytes, ad-aware or spybot and all seems fine though ! I think this bug occurs a lot for windows 7 users...sadly . :\ cause two of my friends got it too.

That's the thing that got me confused.
Whenever Explorer crashed, it doesn't do this "report" thingy . any ideas ?
It only goes for like "windows explorer stopped responding"...followed by "Windows explorer is restarting" and all is fine afterwards.

As for Internet explorer that crashed, I think it's either i accidentally clicked internet explorer when i was shutting down ahahha. I don't use internet explorer that much, I use chrome regularly and firefox at some times. So probably that internet explorer crash is just a mishap and nothing to be confused with the whole 'explorer' crash !

Idk whether this explorer crash thingy is a big problem or not, i know few of my friends have it too. I still have the warranty card with me, and is still valid.
