Whenever I start up my laptop I get to where I put my password in, input password, Windows loads up but then freezes. The taskbar does not show and I am unable to get the taskbar up by pressing the windows button next to alt. The only thing that loads up is my documents folder but with no taskbar showing. In order to get the taskbar up I have to press ctrl, alt, delete and choose task manager and then choose new task and type in explorer. The taskbar then loads up. While this is a fix I want to know what is causing this. Any ideas?.

Try Ctl\Alt\Del. In task manager, check the processes tab and check to see if explorer.exe is a running process. If it's not, click on the applications tab. At the bottom click "new task". Type in "explorer.exe" without the quotes and click ok/enter
See if your task bar appears.
