Windows Explorer stops & restarts

Windows 7 64 bit SP1 Since an update I cannot get past login even in safe mode without Windows explorer stopping & restarting . Managed to run SFC & says there are corrupt files that it cannot repair . S/d & restart tried - no change Earlier messages along the lines of User profile service service not responding . I have an old hard drive from 6 months ago which was replaced with SSD . Should I remove & reinstall then redo SSD set up OR reinstall win7??

Re Install windows on the SSD, takes 15 minutes and it will be perfect.

You could always try a system restore 1st

There`s no reason an update should`ve caused that.
