Windows Fax & Scan

I have windows 7 fax & scan installed.
I am using a medical software program which finds the fax program but when I try to send a document to fax comes up with the following error:

My machine is on a network but has a fax modem which used to work until recently.
Going to a former restore point did not help.
I have tried removing the modem from hardware settings & it has been found again at windows start-up.

It would help if you hadn't omitted the error you seemed to be about to quote...
