Windows Firewall - restrict app to intranet

Using the Windows 7 firewall, how can I restrict an application to intranet access only? Maybe some sort of IP filtering?

I think that what you need is for the firewall on your gateway to restrict outgoing ports that hte program uses but the firewall on the client machines to permit it.

The client machine firewall cannot control where the packets go once they leave the machine. You need to block them at the gateway to the net. Which would be your router or if you have a windows or linux machine acting as your gateway firewall...
