I did some searching and found that my problem is similar to the issue posted here:

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/49658-windows-has-recovered-unexpected-shutdown.html

Recap: Installed Win7 on Thursday, Jan. 7 and noticed today that it started doing this. I left the computer on on Thursday night and it went into standby until Friday morning with NO issues. It fired right back up. Then last night is when this started to occur:

It works fine until you stop using the computer and let it sit for like 10 mins, then the monitor shuts off, and its like windows just crashes. The weird thing is that the case continues to run, along with the fan and LED's. I press spacebar on computer and it starts up, from a 'fresh' boot.

I tried to zip up the C:\Windows\Minidump file but it is locked or something, it won't let me.

Suggestions?

I disabled a startup program that came with the vid. card software, called Gamer OSD. And also disabled the sleep mode for the comp. and the display. This seemed to cure the BSOD problem. I wasn't sure which change worked, so this morning I turned sleep mode back on and it happened again.

Also, tried dragging the dump file to desktop, which I could do, however I still could not zip it with WinRAR

It sounds like it just went to sleep.

When it goes to sleep, does that trigger a complete reboot when it awakens? That is what is happening. Actually, I just set it to:

turn of display: 10 mins
sleep: 30 mins

and when it turned off the display, it went 'dead', and upon pressing spacebar, it booted from the beginning and again i got the message:
