Windows instailer error

Hey, I'm trying to instail Java on my laptop Windows seven home premium 64 bit and keep getting this error.
Windows Installer
This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can acess it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

Have tried updates and also running as admin.Any help with this would be great.

I'd try downloading it again from Java's site or making sure you have the 64-bit version, if there is one. You could always contact Java as it seems to be the installer more than your PC's fault. Just a thought, really.

I have tried to download it from different sites aswell so i dont think thats it but i'll give it a go.]
