Solved Windows installation problem

Hello there I am having troubles here I had gotten a virus on my computer that completely made my computer unable to be used I tried opening programs and task manager but on my task bar it said failed to open as a tab everything and anything then I got a BSOD and my computer turned off and then restarted and still does the same thing so I decided to reformat and I did and I have never had this problem before while reformating and the computer simply won't get any further than the load screen I have tried reformating it again and again and still the same problem persists I have tried the boot up repair on the Windows 7 disc to no avail any ideas?

See if you can boot into Safe Mode with Networking to download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytes.

If not, on another computer: download, burn to CD or write to flash stick, boot and run a full scan with Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper

Once clean of infection, boot into DVD Repair console or Repair CD to System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair repeatedly, which should automate System REstore and System File Checker. If not or not successful, run these from the Recovery TOols list, using Command Line to run SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot.

If you're unable to repair Win7 run Factory Recovery from partition at boot or disks you made or order from Tech SUpport, or boot the Win7 DVD to clean reinstall following these steps: Reinstalling Windows 7

You can copy out your files using DVD this way: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Computer does not get past windows is loading, so therefore there is no use of the computer.

and i have wiped both hard drives and reinstalled windows on it and it still does it.

and it wont come up as safe mode either

Also every time I try to start up it gives me an error but its halfway of the screen and I can only make parts of it and it says something like a recent hardware or software change might be the problem and tells me to insert my installation disc but I've already installed my operating system and I keep getting this error.... says something about windows/system32/winload.exe and something about corrupt.

Have you treid with only one HD drive installed?

I have tried disabling one hard drive and installing the OS on it, and then I try the other and it still does not work.

Remove all but 2gb RAM to try install. Swap RAM sticks, Test your RAM: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Plug only one HD into first SATA port, wipe the HD then try install. test your HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Reset the BIOS to optimal defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS setup, set SATA controller to AHCI to try install, then IDE if necessary.

Nothing seems to work I have tried reseting my BIOS I have tried to reinstall the operating system I disabled one hard drive tried to boot the disc but it only says boot manager is missing and the other one just has a _ with a flashing right corner at the top and does nothing....

If it says "Bootmgr is missing" then you are not booting the disk. How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD. Try also using the one-time BIOS boot Menu key given on first screen.

Where did you get Win7? If you burned it yourself, confirm ISO or download another and burn to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Next write ISO to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with Win7 in dropdown menu. Boot from one-time BIOS Boot menu key under USB, Removable or HD's.

My Operating system is store purchased, I have disabled one hard drive to try and install on one and I get a message saying boot manager missing, as you know and from the other hard drive it just does absolutely nothing, I have set my boot priority to boot from the disc but it simply does nothing, and on top of that, I am using a gateway restore disc that has Windows Vista because my Windows 7 is an upgrade version, but when I try installing Windows Vista then upgrade it , it just says there is no operating system or it is corrupted, and I have tried borrowing a Windows Vista 64bit disc and still nothing works, I am at a loss of thought right now.

Sorry for double posting but I am wondering if my hardware is finished or if my hard drives are dead, but I need to solve this issue before the release of Star wars the old republic =[

You don't need to install Vista first.

Read this tutorial, which shows you how to clean install Windows 7 with an upgrade disc.

You may also need to wipe the HD of code in the boot sector: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Again, if you are receiving those errors you report then the DVD is not booting, but BIOS is trying to boot the HD instead.

Try booting the Win7 DVD now. If it fails, download and burn to CD free Partition Wizard bootable CD which will autostart without having to boot it yourself, then from Disk tab Wipe the HD. This will in turn cause the WIn7 DVD to autostart without having to boot it yourself.

Did not work I tried following the steps tried installing the operating system after it still says "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing, make sure all files required for installation are available and restart the installation. Error code : 0x80070017 and I noticed after the two times I tried installing the OS its creating separate partitions of like 8gb and 1gb.

This usually means that your Windows installation media may be corrupted. What are you using to install Windows 7 with? You may need to get a new copy.

I have tried many disc's Windows Vista 32bit, Windows Vista 64bit, Windows 7 32bit and 64bit all to no avail.

IF you've followed the steps given then what was the result of trying install with flash stick given several posts back?

What was the result of wiping the HD with PW bootable CD which will autostart on its own, so that DVD would then autostart?

You must be thorough if you want this fixed, not skipping any steps, asking back questions if you are not sure how to do a step. I do not like wasting time typing out important steps which have helped hundreds of others before, but which are ignored due to laziness.

Sorry greg if you feel like your being bothered by posting but I do not appreciate you saying that I am lazy, No one is forcing you to post here, but I do appreciate the help you have given, but just because the steps you included helped hundreds doesn't mean they are going to help hundreds of others, I have tried your given steps and they still do not work it still ends up at the same dead end.

The steps you have provided to me end up in a result that I have gotten any other way, I have tried the clean all method in the cmd on the windows 7 disc and when I have tried installing the operating system it gives me the error on every disc I own which is:

Windows Vista 32bit
Windows Vista 64bit
Windows 7 32bit
Windows 7 64bit

But all that happens is after the installation I try it again and it has created a separate partition of 1gb and another of 8gb, I have to disable a certain hard drive in the BIOS or it will tell me that the bootmanager is missing and I can't go any further but if I disable it I will be able to boot the cd right away, I have two separate drives one is a CD drive and the other is a DVD drive I have used both and simply I get the same results,

Maybe it has gone further than a simple software problem to a hardware problem, if the virus that I had gotten malfunctioned some of my hardware I don't know, but I have tried your methods all of the ones you have recommended me and I have gotten the dead end result.

What do you mean you have to disable a certain HD in BIOS? In my very first set of steps I posted that you need to unplug all but the target HD.

The whole point of wiping the HD so that the installer would autostart is defeated if you have another HD plugged in.

How did you use a CD drive to try installing Win7? Please explain.

WHat was the exact result of attempting with the flash stick install with OD's and all other HD's unplugged, which would tell us a lot and to which you haven't replied after several requests.

In the my BIOS there is a section for hard drives under the boot priority that allows me to enable and disable hard drives, my 500GB Hard drive is the one I disable in order to boot my OS disc, with it enabled it prevents me from booting my OS disc by saying boot manager is missing,

In regards with the CD drive I set it on top in the BIOS boot priority section and after restart it tells me to boot from cd/dvd, so that is how I get into the installation of Windows,

The reason I have not answered about the Flash Drive solution is because I do not own a flash drive, I know they are cheap to purchase but I have 12 hour days, so by the time I get off work stores are no longer open, and I have no other means of purchasing one, but when I have the time off I will purchase one, but I do not understand what has to be done on the flash drive exactly, is there a tutorial on this?
