Solved Window's installation problem!

Hello,
I'm back here in the forum with another trouble.
Recently due to my corrupted hard disk, I replaced my hard disk.
Its a brand new hard disk with no windows installed. So when i put my disk, made the BIOS to boot from cd/DVD and it started showing me, wwindows loading files, then I proceeded to select my language and clicked install now. I did a custom installation.
So I made 2 partitions, one is 465gb and other is 100mb system reserved partition.
I clicked the 465gb part it on and clicked "ok", it started the installation.
First, windows copying files completed 100%
Then windows expanding files 0%, it ain't increasing from there, it is stuck at 0% and never goes up. After I kept some minutes it showed me that.
I got an error code too, here it:-
Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the application. Error code: 0x80070017.
Also I have 2 windows DVDs and both are kinda scratched, many scratches.
I don't know what to do, and also shows bootmgr missing if I don't boot from the windows cd

If you make a copy of the dvd, it should be fine.

Your Windows 7 install dvd is bad, you need a new one.

Make a copy and it should be fine to install Windows.

What don`t you understand ?

Also, there is no need to make the 2 partitions ( if in fact that`s what YOU did ) windows will do that on it`s own.

Make one partition, 465gb and leave the install process to create the system reserved partition.

that may solve the error problem as addram says burn a copy of the install disc

I will buy another windows 7 CD, and come back to you guys if it ain't working too... But my friend who used the above DVDs I mentioned has used them to format PCs and he had kept them inside a supboard or something without a cover for 3 months, and those both dvds are scratched.
And also how to make one partition if thers already 2 partitions...
Any suspection on my sata + power cable which connects to the hard disk?
Not big pro with these computers... Do don't be angry if I keep asking same thing again and againbbecause I can't understand every time what is said. <

make sure you buy the correct version that being a retail or OEM version disc

As you don't state details about you machine one can not advise.

Delete all the partitions down to un allocated space.

It offers them, but only a retail key will work to download the iso file, which no one has even proven yet.

Nope

Microsoft has taken down the Digital River ISO download servers and are only providing ISO's to retail customers. This leaves those who bought a PC with Win7 at the mercy of OEM Tech Support who except for Dell rarely will provide clean Reinstallation media, to borrow a copy, or search for a torrent download which can be risky if not checked for add-ins.

If you have a retail copy of Windows 7, then you could try to download an ISO directly from Microsoft at the link below.

You can borrow a friend's disk to extract the ISO image file using ImgBurn and then burn a new DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed, write ISO to 4gb+ flash stick using UltraISO Software To Create Bootable USB Flash Drive, or for UEFI installs use Option One of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows

Why have you started a new thread when I am troubleshooting your install failure in your old thread? Bootmgr missing and hard disk error

It was suggested you replace your hard drive which failed diagnostics. You were hesitant so in my last post I suggested running the maker's diagnostics to confirm its condition, and also questioned your installer which was very suspect.

You replied that a new hard drive had suffered the same failure, which points to the installer.

Not until you try a new installer. Burn a new ISO to DVD using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool,

I have a clean xp disk, which I bought last week. Actually the problem is, it won't install.
It say windows have detected an error... To prevent damage to the computer ...

You're wanting to Dual Boot XP and WIn7 then? On the same hard drive? You should install XP first if so.

Unplug all other hard drives, Boot the XP disk, at the drive selection screen choose the hard drive, delete all partitions, create a new one about half the size of the hard drive or less, do a full format of the partition, install XP there.

Then boot your new WIn7 installer to Clean Install Windows 7 to the remaining space.

If there are any problems performing any of these steps, what we need is an exact description of what happened and any error quoted back here. If you'll stop jumping all around and focus on the task we will help you get it installed just like we have for tens of thousands of others without a single failure.

Not to dual boot. I asked because the win 7 didn't worked so trued xp. It canot be instled.,

That`s because you are trying to install XP on a windows 7 machine, it can easily blue screen and shut down or whatever it did.

For the love of God, why don`t you just make the copy of your Windows 7 DVD ? It will get rid of the scratches so you can install W7.

I will, I will do it and say the results...and thinking of changing my sata+ powercae which connects to hard disk if it ain't a big price...
I can't understand wt u say cuz I'm not very familiar with these PCs and I'm a kid ok
