Hmm where to start ... I just starto last days upgrade my old laptop to win7 from win xp and lets sey i stack..
Windows7 can't load after "windows is loading files" i try to instal win7 from xp and is instaling but i need clean one
laptop spec:
packardbell easynote R0422

• ATI RS480M/RS482M North Bridge.
• ULI 1573M South Bridge
• RADEON® XPRESS 200 (RS480M/RS482M)
• 1024 MB RAM (DDR 333)
• AMD Mobile Sempron 3100+

Hi azzazz.

First off, did you make sure your laptop can support Windows 7? If not, you should download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and run it on your laptop.

If everything checks out, you can clean install Windows 7 by booting off the Windows 7 DVD after you reboot. Just make sure the CD/DVD drive is set as the First Boot Device in your BIOS. Also, this method will wipe your hard drive clean before installing 7, so make sure any files you have on there right now are backed up.

Hi,is your laptop motherboard ready to support windows vista or 7 drives or is just to xp?somme old motherboards supportes only to xp OS,you must check it out!!
you said,i start an upgrade from xp to 7,is your 7 an upgrade OS?or do you want just remove xp, and start to install an clean w7 OS?

Hi there I try with windows advisor and it was ok no incompatbility but as i can think ULi chipsets has only vista/xp drivers and so fare there is no any other (mane nvidia will make any) and yes I try both upgrade and clean instalation of win7. In upgrade I get to install but after I can't get to work USB, ethernet and wireless iven after install proper drivers. I hope that can help u guys, o and I try clen install of vista with the same outkom but with upgrade from xp apart from really slow interface I get all internals working properly.

It's stop after 2 step it's not iven load that screen on 3 step it's just freez at the end of loading all files

Try reburning DVD at a slow speed.

Well I get that one by post from one of company and when itsnot work I just get one of RC from internet to try if it works

Heh I burn like 3 times I think is not much i can do about mane just ULi chipset is not working wit 7, but that will be trance becous mine other pc is on ULi to and is working perfect no problems at all

uff i just find what was wrong.... It was dvdrom don't know why when i just back home i hawe idea to change and try and its works thx guys for all help

hmm the only problem is now drivers as i can't make them work. I think Uli chipset is just not the think what win7 like :/ well i can always go back to xp as i think hawe to now
