Solved Windows Live email links open in AOL instead of IE 11

I am, and will be, using my sister's computer for a month until My new place is ready to live in and I can get my rigs setup.

The problem is that she has AOL (YUK, CHOKE and BLOAT) on her computer. I've installed Windows Live Mail for my emails. When I click on the link in the email, it opens up in AOL!

How do I get my email links to open up in IE 11 in stead of AOL?

You would need to change what ever program default that protocol is using( I imagine your opening http links correct?) to IE 11. Open this in in a explorer window. Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations then find the associated one you need and set it to IE 11. It will change her defaults though, if your using it for that long maybe you should make a new user account since then you can make whatever defaults you want and it should not affect her account. You can always remove your account when you leave.

Click start, click on default programs, select Set program access and computer defaults, click on custom in window that opens. This is how I have my WLM to open in ie 11.
