Hello,

I have just installed windows live mail. I notice that I have storage folders at the bottom. There is all my old emails message stored there. The problem is that they appear in the list after the following folders: drafts, sent items, deleted items...It is really annoying. Each time I store an email I have to go down the bottom of the list. Is there a way to sort the order of these storages folders? I did not manage to copy these folders into the Inbox. Anybody has an idea?
Thanks in advance.

You were expected to " move " those old e-mails back up to your e-mail account.
( You could copy/paste, but that takes too long ).

Open your WLM > left column, right click at your account > click New Folder > name the folder , say Denis.
Scroll donw to the Storage folder > open the folder that contains all your old messages > click one of them, any one > press Ctrl key and Hold > press A key > now all your old messages are " shaded " > right click at one of them, anyone > click Move To > navigate to Denis folder > click Move.
That's it. All you old messages are now in Denis folder under your account. You don't have to scroll way down anymore.

If you don't have Move To option in your right click Context Menu, here is how to install it...
Context Menu - Add COPY TO FOLDER and MOVE TO FOLDER - Vista Forums
This tutorial works in both Vista and Win 7.

Thank you so much for your reply. This is working but it will take me ages as I have at least 150 subfolders. Do you have to create again all the folder structure? There should be a way to copy a whole folder? Let me know

I don't know any other way. Sorry.
Maybe some one else has a better method.

It should be a very simple thing: moving folder with all the messages inside.
Let me know:cry:

Anybody has an idea? It sounds like a basic and simple thing to do: copying and moving folder in Windows live mail...
Please advise if you have an idea
