Good Evening Folks:

Got myself a problem trying to uninstall Windows live mail. It started when I got error message 0X800cccoD. As per MS instructions, I ran System Restore to a time previous to the last update. Nothing changed. I then ran Restore to the farthest previous automatic restore point at which the restore function would operate. No change. The next step was to delete the Windows Essentials app using Revo uninstaller. The icon for the app disappeared and Revo indicated it was uninstalled. I then tried to reinstall Live Mail and was informed that it was already installed. I checked my C/: (x86) program list and it showed the program was still installed. Following that I ran the Revo forced install function and it came up with a whole list of files which I deleted. I again tried to reinstall the program and was told it was still on my computer. Another crack at a forced install came up with nothing. I then went to my C/: (x86) program files and tried to delete the listing. I was informed that I needed special permission from some goofy installer which I could not find. I then tried to install it using the AVG Shredder function and this got it off of the list. I tried to reinstall the program again with the same result. Windows told me the program was still on my drive. I then went into my registry and deleted every reference to Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Essentials that I could find. Once again the reinstallation gave me the same results. So, as it stands, I am informed that the app is still in my computer but I can find no references or icons for it.
My next step is to reinstall the O/S, but before doing that I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can get rid of this thing.

Regards
Powell Lucas
