When in OutLook Express you would delete the contents of your delete file it would go to a delete .dbx file in your computer. This file would get quite large and I'd delete it ever so often and then let it rebuild. In Windows Live when you delete the contents of the delete file where does it go? Does it go to another file that just gets larger and larger? Just curious about it. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

The default store folder for WLM stuff is:
Code:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
Try deleting a couple of messages, and monitor whether the folder shrinks or not.

Well then, there's your answer :)

What if you emptied the Deleted Items folder in WLM? Or have you tried it already?

I deleted 3MB of stuff and the folder never changed in size so that isn't where it went. I just new in XP it went to a .dbx file so I was just curious if Windows Live Mail had some file it went to. I knew that .dbx file could get quite large in XP.

I think Windows Live Mail is web based mail so it stays on the server even though you delete it from your browser. In the options you can set it for different amounts of time to keep ;on the server from 30 days back to immediately.

VISTA's "Windows Mail" was awesome. It had only 1 Inbox, 1 Junk Folder, 1 Deleted Mail, etc.

Anyone know how to give Windows Live Mail an overhaul? I don't like how I can't access all mail from all my e-mail addresses using 1 Inbox, etc.
