Windows Live Messenger Problem

I have just upgraded from the RC of Win 7 to the full Retail Ultimate and I used Easy Transfer to transfer my programs, data etc (big mistake). This has caused numerous problems for me but this one seems to be bugging me the most. I was getting an error whenever I attempted to sign into WLM so i decided I would simply reinstall..but now every time I run the installer I get an error (hr:0x80070643). I have tried literally anything I have found on the net to try and fix this to no avail. There is also some more error info on the screen so I took a screenshot to show you * attached*. Someone please give me a solution, so i don't have to go through the trouble of reformatting.

I am afraid that may be your only option. Even if you fix this, more bugs and problems will come up, so making a fresh Clean install is the best solution.
