Windows live messenger video issues

Hi
I have a new system which runs windows 7. When using live messenger the audio works fine both ways but the video only works on the incoming side the outgoing screen is grey.
The web cam was taken from my old XP system and it still works fine on this. It is a Creative Labs IM pro web cam.
Can any one offer any suggestions

I would prefer to go online, as they're more recent/updated, the disc you have has older drivers.

I get the message 'setting up software drivers now please wait' but the status bar is stuck on 90%
Should I attempt a re-install?
