Windows Live Movie Maker Black Screen

Hello, I was trying to use Windows Live Movie Maker for a school project the other day, and upon entering clips into Windows Live Movie Maker, I discovered it was playing audio, but instead of video, just a blank/black screen. How do I fix this? I've been told to update my Nvidia drives, but I'm not sure if I use Nvidia. Please help.

WMM is terrible. Does the black screen appear in the live view of WMM or after you render? What is the video format that your are importing? Are your drivers up to date?
