The calendar is now incorporated into live mail and you cannot save the calendar like you could in vista, am i right in thinking you don't need to now? If I have to start afresh do I just reinstall windows live mail and then sync everything for it to return?

There is no need to save. It is saved automatically at Sign In. If you have to re-install the OS of switch computers, your calendar will resync automatically.

Cheers, is it the same for my contacts? Also if I sign in to hotmail and view my calendar I can look at my to-do list, i cant see it in live calendar? Why is this?

Your contacts are also saved in the Windows Live servers. Unfortunately, To-dos are not supported in Windows Live Mail (the desktop client). You must use Windows Live calendar (the internet service) to use your to-dos.

Welcome to the Forum Graham,

I have a question for you. What do you think of the new Windows Live, contacts and calendar, compared to the Windows Mail combo?

I, for one, like WLM more.

Windows live for me, miles better in appearance, couple of glitches, obviously at the moment you cant view to-do's in the calendar but apart from that - I love it!
