Hi everyone,

My notebook suddenly shows the windows log in when I turn it on. Before, it automatically goes to my desktop. Now, I have to click on my user image every boot. I have no password and I'm the only user in my windows 7. It has to go straight to the desktop right?

s7ven,

Try this.

Go into the Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management. Expand "Local Users and Groups", highlight "Users" and you should see your account in the right pane. Right click on your account and set a password. Then, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, and type "control userpasswords2" without quotes.

2. Highlight your account and uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer".

3. Click Apply.

4. Enter the password, then click OK.

5. Click OK again.
