Hi, can anyone please help me...my husband has just upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium, all has been going well except for one small niggle when he uses Windows Live Mail.....We have a Broadband connection but everytime he goes onto Live Mail a dialogue box appears saying 'No connection to the internet is currently available. To view Internet content that has been saved on your computer click Work Offline. Click Try Again to attempt to connect'. Obviously he is connected but everytime he has to click 'Try Again'.
We have searched throughout the Mail Tabs to see if there is something that should be ticked or unticked to stop this happening, but have found nothing. Before I go more grey that I am already, please can someone help us. Thanks.

When you have the problem, right click on the internet icon (bottom right) and then go to troubleshoot. Not sure if it will solve your problem, but, in any event, have a Happy Thanksgiving

Hi richc46,
We did as you suggested but unfortunately it didn't solve anything. My husband clicked to go into Live Mail, as soon as he gets to his 'In Box', the small dialogue box appears to say that he isn't connected - but he is!.
Thank you for trying to help us

Try this, unless you really love Live Mail, (I think all mail services are about the same), you could go online find another mail service and make that the default. In that way Live Mail, although still on your Hard Drive (I am not sure if it can be uninstalled.) is just taking a few bytes of space.

If it could be uninstalled, I would uninstall, then install again. When you downloaded it, there was probably some corruption.

I heard that Thunderbird has a very good mail service.

:D:D As you can see by the big smiles on our faces Richard, the problem is solved.....We think, as you suggested, the download was the problem. We have now redownloaded and all seems to be ok.
Thanks once again for your help, and from us in the UK, have a really great Christmas.
