Windows Media Center

I need to remove music from my Windows Media Center. Can this be done and if so how. Also, when I remove this music where does it go; to a file or? I don't want to delete the music but want to use it for a project that I am working on.

Thank you for the help. Don't laugh but eventually I will finish my project.

You should be able to drag and drop? Also check in your music folder as sometimes windows media player copies the music from there.
