Ok so here are two screen caps that show my problem

As the pictures show, the quicktime player is far better quality than the windows player, what is wrong and what do i need to do to fix it?

A step by step guide would be very helpful :o Thanks

I dunno...I think the first set the media player looks better. the qt player looks washed out to me.

anyway, your video card has color settings and so does media player. you can adjust both or just the media player's settings.

you may have to turn off the video color control for your video card if it has a control panel.
and allow media player to control the color settings.

The only actual difference I see here is that WMP displays more saturation, and makes the clip seem just a tad bit more blurry.
Do you have any codec packs installed, and if so, which renderer are you using to play those clips. I assume they are .mov or something similar, i.e. H264 video/AAC audio since you're playing them in QT?
