(By OMZ I mean, "Oh My Zeus" :D).
Anyway, WMP 12 is not what I would expect from such a software giant.
According to my oppinion WMP11 was quite better in handling.
Now in WMP11 we have 2 main views, as the Library mode and as the player mode, and some skin modes.
Well in player mode everything was fine, I had some reactions for it but I finaly managed to settle down with it.
After some days of usage WMP became "Ghostly". It lost its background image, and it lost it blue faded corners.
Now my WMP looks like an unseccesefull plastic surgery.
Watch by yourselves.

I thought that it would dissapear, but later I found out that it is permanent.
Anyone faced this? Anyone knows how to face this?
There also was an option to RIP CD when I had no CD in my drive. But after some days it was gone.
I hope they make WMP better in handling.:(

Any ideas?
Can I return to WMP 11?

Hello wizardcia...kai kalos irthes sto sevenforums!

Perhaps the driver update is responsible for that...You could uninstall the updated drivers and revert to the previews ones....Did you download the latest drivers manually from your videocard manufacturer or from Windows Update?

Efharisto file. :) , yes I downloaded the drivers from Windows Update.
You see the problem is that when I launch WMP the it appears normaly but then, when I set to play a song it turns dark.
Let me show you what I mean.

And when I open task manager, WMP get almost 60% of my Quad Core Q6600. What is WMP doing?

I still don't even get what you mean with your problem it looks fine to me aside from your first post that didn't have Aero enabled.

No friend, my screenshot application had transparency dissabled, I forgot to switch it off. Everything is running fine except WMP that gets almost 70% of my Q6600. What the hell is it doing with so much power? CERN experiments?:sarc:

I am currently listening to 30 seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie - and here are my stats on WiMP from Process Explorer (PE):

Windows 7 Build 7000 WiMP PE stats.PNG

As you can see in the top left of the 4 graphs, my CPU is barely being touched - so I wonder if it is something else interacting with the CPU to make WiMP run so high?

What exactly are you listening to or watching when it spikes like that?

Nothing special, MP3s, AVIs, do you think that the codec is the fault?
I have the old Windows Vista Codec pack.

I'm having the processor-max-out happen from time to time too. Dunno exactly whats causing it. Ill be trying out new codecs to see if that's the trouble on mine. All other players are working well with the pack I have tho.
