windows mobile device center error

Hi all,

I have a windows mobile phone running WM 6.1.I have windows mobile device center installed on my laptop.The problem is when i try connecting my phone to my laptop using USB cable,windows device center initiates then says connecting for few minutes then gives message error with a big red X mark.

I read somewhere windows live essential messes up with mobile device center software. I have re installed mobile device center software many times,even re installed my phones device drivers too using device manager but still no luck.And finally thinking it might be my phones fault i reformatted my phone to factory settings and then tried connecting the same error cropped up.

And if this info helps in my firewall settings i have enabled wmdc.exe as trusted application.

I just wanted to sync my phone's contacts and stuff with my laptop through active sync

Any help will be appreciated

i reformatted my laptop and now this problem is solved....
