Hello everyone,

Yesterday I wanted to use the CS5 After Effects, but it gives me an error that it can't find the Win mediaplayer. I found at the website from Microsoft a sort of update.
Download: Media Feature Pack - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
This update is still going on after almost 7 hours so there must be something wrong. Is there a easy way to install the media player?

OS: Windows 7 N Ultimate x64

If you wanted mediaplayer, why did you buy Windodws 7 N?

It's a newly installed client, but we didn't had any serials for the normal Windows so we used a N version which is a pain in the ass when you want to install Win Mediaplayer. Any experience with it?

the same problem man. i used Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1 (KB968211). it was installed in 3 min and 1 reboot. now all is ok. so u have some problems with your workstation, KB968211 really works.

Thank you Cat empire for your reply, but it was a clean install and fully updated. After those updates I tried to install the Media Pack which took to long for me (7+ Hours) so I complained and now I have the normal version of Windows 7 WITH the media player. I'm still curious of why it took more then 7 hours and what the problem was.
