Please can any one give me help if I shall delete wndows .old file after I installed windows 7 ? Shall I delete it so to gain space on my Hd or I have to leave it so windows will work correct. any help please? thanks.

You don't need it, but most people keep it around temporarily as a precaution. Make sure to copy any of your personal data that you need from it if you didn't back that stuff up elsewhere.

But no, it is not necessary to run Windows 7.
