Windows Photo Viewer freezes

I am having a problem with Windows Photo Viewer freezing every time I open a picture. it will display the "loading" message but if I try to use any of the buttons or close out, it is completely frozen. I have to force close Windows Photo Viewer and it doesn't generate a report and the "not responding" message just closes with the program then and doesn't send it to Microsoft. it always does this, every picture

After doing what Britton 30 has recommended.

I have seen a infected picture cause this problem. Just one infected picture can stop photo viewer from working. Can you right tick on a picture and select to scan for infections with one of your security programs.

Could you fill in your system specs using these tutorials.
