I know the default viewer in Vista would let you CROP/Resize within the viewer.

"FIX" and crop would let you do this without any other program?

I'm looking at the Viewer in Windows 7 but it doesn't let me do this?

I open the file in Paint, but don't know how to resize it in paint. The file is just a screenshot. (PNG file)

Anything free, LIGHT weight and not bloated that I can use. Or am I doing something wrong?

TIA!

Thats because Vista's default viewer was "Windows Live Photo Gallery" Windows 7 just comes with "Windows Photo Gallery"

You can get Live Photo Gallery from here: Windows Live Photo Gallery

Its basically the same as it was in Vista, except the first time you run it it will try to sign you in to Windows Live and upload all your photo's to your profile  You don't have to let it though, it will work fine without it.

I assume you know how to set it as default, if not then here's a Tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9154-default-programs-associate-file-type-protocol.html

WOW I didn't know the difference in programs. Looked the same to me :) Thanks for such a quick response. Looks like Windows Live Photo Gallery doesn't like to "Fix/Edit" PNG files, but that's not a problem. Just save it as a jpeg and problem solved!

Thanks Again!

Have a look at Fast Stone Image Viewer. It is amazing all the things you can do with it (including for .png) - and it is free.

I had to re-image my PC to a clean install, and I downloaded Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 and the Fix option is no longer there.

So both Windows Photo Viewer and Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 can't do crop or "Fix".

That's not good.

Same problem!

I am mad about this also. Why did they remove the fix button from the Live Photo Gallery Viewer! I don't want to have to go into the stupid application everytime I want to just crop a photo.

You got a very good point. They really made it difficult to use now. And you have to first load the whole folder. What a shambles.
